There's nothing more sexy than summertime! And to beat the summer heat we often find ourselves at pool parties or bonfires at the beach, there's a little secret to keep sweat at bay and stay looking fabulous all summer long, here's my take on heat-proof makeup this summer.
MASCARA: WATERPROOF OR NOT, THAT IS THE QUESTION?
Indeed it is, we find ourselves struggling when it come to removing our favorite waterproof mascara which essentially harms our lashes, due to their staying power,
Maybelline's New York Turbo Boost Volume Express Waterproof Mascara, woah the staying power on this guy is 5/5 at least! I've had this bad boy for a few weeks now and my it really does a great job, it may take a bit to get used to the "wet" formula that waterproof mascaras have the results are amazing! However, its a really great mascara I like to go in and apply a coat of regular mascara, like then apply a second coat of the waterproof mascara making it that much easier to remove after a hard's day of looking fabulous haha.
BLUSH: LAYERING YOUR BLUSH
I've never really paid attention when you're setting cream bronzer with a powder bronzer, but it makes absolute sense to layer your blush in the same way. You're able to keep your rosy glow by combining two kinds of blushes one being cream formula, my favorite and cheap alternative E.L.F HD Blush in Headliner and the other blush in powder form, my other favorite that I've been using for years and years and years is
. And once that top later has worn of you'd be left with a dewy flush.
FOUNDATION: BRUSH ON YOUR BASE
In order to make your foundation last longer than the usual, you must not use your fingers to apply your foundations this is because the oils in your skin with the oils in your product will be mixing causing the foundation,my absolute favorite foundation Revlon Colorstay Foundation, to slide right off! You may want to opt for a stippling brush, e.l.f. Studio Powder Brush or a flat foundation brush like that of Eco Tools Flat Foundation Brush.
We'll follow the same concept with creams and powders, the same concept applies when dealing with eyeshadows too. Applying a cream shadow ensures that the powder atop of that will stay put and not crease or slide during your outings. Try something like Maybelline Color Tatto in Barely Branded, you'll won't be left wondering where'd your eyeshadow go!
CONCEALER: LOCK IN THAT CONCEALER
Dusting on that translucent powder, e.l.f. Studio High Definition Loose Face Powder
, locks in all that hard work you just did ensuring that your hard work will last you all throughout the day and beyond! Under the eye area make sure to use a mattifier, Neutrogena Shine Control Powder Invisible, over your concealer it absorbs oils that can cause concealer to melt and crease.
As always girlies, be sure to share this post with your friends and family, much love from yours truly (:
